Mole removal question!?

I am 17 and I have a few moles on my face that I want removed. I have one on the tip of my nose and it is pretty small but big enough that I always notice it and it really bothers me. The other two are like on the side of my face and are a little more raised then the one on my nose. I went to a plastic surgeon to see about getting them removed and he said he could remove them all by excision with no problems and that I would have a slight pink scar but it would go away. After I got home I did a bunch of research online about it and I have found that the scarring can be pretty bad especially on the nose. I am really worried now and I don't know if I should go through with it! AHHH! Anyone know what I should do or have advice?
